August 28, 2008 - Moosie just emailed me to advise the new (free) Adobe Reader Version 9 was out and she has set all the different Tutorial Adobes on her site
for us to learn ENLARGEMENT on EACH of them. (Whadda Sweetie!) Anyway, here they are.

None of these links will work for me. I get the following message:
Address Not Found Firefox can't find the server at www.annonemoose.co...ther. Any ideas?

Thanks Kathleen ... I've 'linked' the Tutorials and they should work now ... don't know why the 'Save &
Paste' doesn't work .....

I am using Adobe 9 and when I have enlarged black and white designs on Mystery XI and now St Petersburg it turns the symbols in to negative (reversing the
black and white). Can anyone tell me how to correct this please as it makes the chart very black and sometimes hard to read (as well as using lots of printer
ink
). Many thanks

Christie, are you following the directions for Adobe 9 linked above? My suspicion is that you may be using a different method of enlarging and that is causing
this to happen.

Well .. I just tried Acrobat 9 and it works fine for me .... hmmmm .... what do you think of perhaps changing to another version and using that? I believe
there is a new Acrobat 9.1 out ... http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Jeanette beat me to it. I was also going to suggest opening the file in another version of Adobe. I've never had this happen to me. Question: Does this
happen with the color chart file, too?

I did have an issue printing my MMV. On the peacock tails where the bead numbers are, there are ontop of stitched squares on the chart. I had to keep looking
at finished pictures to make sure when I was marking my chart ( I highlight any beading) I was seeing the correct part of the chart.

I have found that if I print the colour chart but set my printer to just print in black you dont get the "reversing" problem..... I wanted to spend
more time stitching and less time figuring out the adobe/enlarging thing and since I did not have any more colour ink left I thought well let see what happens
and I found it worked great... the shading (direction of half cross stitches for example) and the correct simbols work great by just using the colour chart but
print it in black only!
Just a thought! Marg |
