I love Martina's mandalas. But I've noticed that there are things that draw me more to one than another. I like the ones best where you can turn it to any way and you get a different view each time. A good example of this would be Gardens of London. Each side has a different view, but the center knot is the same so it doesn't look wrong when you turn it any way. The one that I am working on now, Desert Garden Mandala, has a center piece that you can't turn sideways. So however you stitch the four sides is how it will always look because you can't turn it sideway due to the center design. That's fine with me. I still LOVE Desert Garden Mandala. And then there are the ones that are the same on all four sides, Sparkling Swan Mandala is an example. It is a beautiful design, but I don't know if I could stitch the same thing on all four sides. I just super LOVE the four sided ones that you can turn around and around and focus on one side during certain times of the year. So, how about you? Which ones are you drawn more to? Take a look at what you've got in your stash. Do you see a pattern emerging? I just wish I had more time to stitch them all.
