Anyone Stitching For A Teacher This Year?

Posts: 364 12/03/07 12:07 AM Chatelaine Moderator	Tags : None I was just curious if anyone is stitching anything special for a teacher of theirs or one of your children this year for a "thank you?" I didn't get to it last year and feel bad since my daughter had a really great teacher, but I have all the best intentions to try and get something completed this year although now I have two kids in school so I need to start earlier, which is why I am asking all of you so early If you are have you decided on a pattern already? Posts: 13 12/03/07 06:32 AM	I haven't picked up a needle in months I'm in such a deep slump, but I have done quite a bit of stitching for teachers in past years. DS is in a mixed age classroom (1st through 6th grade) and he's in 5th, so he;s had the same brilliant teacher for 5 years. (Only 1 more, sob). For her I have stitched a several Sweetheart Tree hearts, the WindowGarden Apple Sampler and last year did up Frederick the Literate and had it framed. I've also done fingertip towels and ornaments. For next spring, assuming I de-slump, I saw a pattern on Deb's site (stitchesnthings) that I must get that is very very similar to the school's logo. Posts: 76 12/04/07 09:43 PM	I've stitched an ornament for DD's teacher this year (this is her kindergarten year). It's from the 2007 Ornament Issue and is by Val's Stuff. http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL1290/6139559/11979765/286675747.jpg Her teacher has some cats, so I thought it would be cute for her. I was thinking I might stitch Teacher's Row by Bent Creek for the end of the school year. We'll see if I can possibly accomplish that before June!
