Here is a little something I have been doing whilst waiting for part 5 of Holland Landscapes.
A friend of my Daughter asked me to stitch it for her 18 yr old son who has just gone through a rough time recently. He saw the poem and decided that the words had a meaning for him. Luckily there was a kit out there which is quite tasteful. I was reasonably easy to stitch, but not really my kind of stitching. At least it made a change.
Off to finish off some more bits now.

Hihiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, a few days ago I started again a new project, fuchsiapanel from Heritage with again very much fractional stitches and I like it...this is the last small project because when this will be finished autumn will fall I think and stitching outside will be over.time to start bigger things.............

I am new to mysteries stitching. Can I ask the Christmas one will it be Christmas themed? or is it just because it runs from Christmas to Christmas?

I am intrigued and fancy a punt at one of these... also what kind of size will they be? or is that spoiling the mystery???

Here's my version of the freebie Kathy's Violets stitched on a hand-dyed soft aqua 28ct Lugana, 1x1 (I made 4 x's for each 1 on the chart). I used the recommended DMC threads, changing the metallic braid to dark green in the center and using Kreinik blending filament in the corner sections; added a little silver dragonfly to the center and changed the bead colors. I switched Algerian Eyelets to Rhodes stitches. I just love the texture they add. Thanks Martina for such a...

I'm just curious. Which type of opalescent fabric do you prefer?

Right now I'm stitching first time on opalescent Cashel, and I'm not really thrilled. I have of course lots of it in my stash...lol....but using it for the first time. May be it will "grow" on me. My problem with it is that it slows me down in stitching, because I have to double check all the time if I have 2 strands or not. When I don't look sharply and concentrated it happens that I take 3...

I have posted threads regarding CSO guidelines, signing up and posting of goals.

It was a lot of fun to stitch with our International Stitching Olympians during the 2006 Olympics. You can still see the medal counts and the general good time that was had by all....

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but... I haven't worked with Anchor Marlitt before. Do you normally use 1 or 2 strands when stitching with it? I'm working on the Convent's Herbal Garden outer gates. The directions don't say, but it seems like 2 strands would be too thick.

Beads conversion question

Hello,

On many charts they are now using beads in the design here and there. But I've noticed that most of the time they use Mill Hill beads. And now I have a problem... Since I've started using Delicas for stitching I just can't stand using Mill Hill ones... Now, they seem so "gross" to me compared to Delicas.

So here is my question : Has any of you a conversion table from Mill Hill beads to Miyuki ones? Or has any of you a link to such a conversion...
