...and joined. Downloaded the charts and have ordered the kit from EXS. This is definately one of my favourite Chatelaine designs. Hopefully one I will be able to finish (otherwise it joins Evening in the Park and Pearl Lights on the VerySlowWip list).

Just wondering if there was anything to be aware of while stitching. Similar symbols, possible thread shortages, that sort of thing. (I have had a kit from EXS before and have never had a thread shortage)

I attached the last bead/crystal this afternoon. I didn't care for the ribbon border so left it off. Picture is a little blurry, but I couldn't get any of them to come out clearly.

Ummmm, where is the ribbon used? I waited until the last part before I said anything, but I don't find any mention of it being used in the sampler anywhere. As I checked all my lists, I noticed that it's listed in the materials list but not the key.

Finished part 5 this evening. I put the bicones and cubes on this part, but have only put the delicas on the previous ones. Can't believe I'm staying caught up with this and really sad to think that the last part is coming up.

Part 5 is posted and the password's out! I've got it printed and ready to start tonight. Hard to believe that it's almost finished and that I'm still current with it. This'll be my second Chatelaine finish out of a lot of starts.

I'm a little late posting but I finally got part 4 finished. I had several frog attacks with this part and just really bogged down. Of course, I can't find the camera, but as soon as DH remembers where he put it after his last fishing trip, I'll post a picture.

I finally finished part 3!! No picture posted yet as the camera's batteries decided to die and I haven't gotten to the store to buy replacements.

The Border

A tip from sue61408:

Watch the pattern for the Gloriana 072 in the border. It forms a frame between the Rhodes, Algerian eyelets and sheaf stitches - Gloriana/Gold/Gloriana. While the pattern repeats, it doesn't repeat exactly the same after every stitch - watch around the sheaf stitches especially. Also, right in the center there's a one-time series of rhodes/algerian/rhodes. From there to the end, your pattern is backwards - if that makes sense.

Here's a section of my progress. I'm having trouble getting a decent picture of it as the light is shining up through the fabric due to it being mounted in my S4. I've finished the floral scroll, the top border and started on the right one.

I finished part 1 last night. I'd post a pic, but my camera's battery decided to die and of course I don't have any AAs. The good thing about this design, if you look at my progress pics, the other sides look just like it - but my eyelets came out slightly less wonky this time.

Instead of giving me an IOU, DH had Drema at Needlecraft Corner send what she had of my kit so I could open it for Christmas. The Eternas and two Glorianas were missing, but they came in today's mail.

With some help from the weather (if it's too windy we won't go fishing - come on WIND!) I may have a part 1 HD sometime this weekend. I'm not as far along as I'd hoped, given my week's...
